Ulverston Statue Unveiling (4 minutes)

19th April 2009 will go down in history as the day when the Sons of the Desert donated a statue of Laurel and Hardy to the people of Ulverston. Ken Dodd spoke warmly of Stan and Ollie and unveiled the statue in front of hundreds of admirers.

Pop Muzik (3 minutes)

Stan and Ollie's dances are set to music by the group M in this novelty item, exclusive to Bowler Dessert.

Laurel and HarDay 2008 (6 minutes)

The customary, successful formula worked well. Jean Darling shared an anecdote about Oliver Hardy and sang Smile.

The Chris Coffey Interview (5 minutes)

Chris announced that the 2008 Laurel and HarDay would be the last one he was organising and, in an exclusive interview, he expressed thoughts on the success of the events.

The North-East Connections (6 minutes)

We visit locations in the North-East of England where Stan Laurel lived and we see Nancy Wardell unveiling the statue of Stan in Bishop Auckland in 2008.

The Stan Laurel Centenary (4 minutes)

Bill Cubin led the celebrations in Ulverston on the centenary of Stan Laurel's birth. Most of this vintage footage is of the large procession through the town.
