Ulverston
Statue Unveiling (4

19th April
2009 will go down in history as the day when the
Sons of the Desert donated a statue of Laurel and
Hardy to the people of Ulverston. Ken Dodd spoke
warmly of Stan and Ollie and unveiled the statue in
front of hundreds of admirers.

led the celebrations in Ulverston on the centenary
of Stan Laurel's birth. Most of this vintage
footage is of the large procession through the
town.
