Convention donation

A cheque for £500 has been presented
to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Following the recent highly successful Sons of the Desert Laurel & Hardy UK Convention held in Bradford, the County Hospital Tent (the local Bradford club) were delighted to present a cheque for £500 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, our designated charity for the Convention, at the club meeting on Friday night (2nd June) at the George Duke in East Bowling. The photo shows Grand Sheik Dave Ballard presenting the cheque to Robin Owen-Morley from YAA.

We were proud to showcase Bradford throughout the Convention weekend and got great feedback about the city and the people from those who attended from England, Scotland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the USA. It was also great to be able to support such an important charity as the YAA, and thanks go to all who donated from the the Convention and the local club.

If anyone is interested in coming along to our monthly Laurel and Hardy nights, please get in touch via our Facebook page, @countyhospitaltentbradford.

Many thanks,

Dave Ballard
